District 225 Board of Education Caucus Recommends Four Candidates
Glenview/Northbrook, Illinois, October 10, 2024—The District 225 Board of Education Caucus has endorsed four candidates for the consolidated election in April 2025: Peter Glowacki, Matthew O'Hara, Beth Hope, and Jack Downing. This decision follows a rigorous and comprehensive selection process and the caucus team believes this group of candidates possesses the ideal combination of experience, strategic insight, and judgment needed to effectively lead the Board forward.
Candidate Profiles
● Peter Glowacki: A resident of Glenview for over 20 years, Glowacki holds a B.A. in Electronic Communication and Organizational Psychology, as well as a J.D. and a Master's in Informational Technology Law. He is currently the Director of Attorney Development at RSHC. His community service includes serving as the current Vice President of the Glenbrook District 225 School Board, a past member of the D31 Foundation Board, and a past board member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
● Matthew O'Hara: A lifelong resident of Glenview for 46 years, O'Hara holds a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago and degrees from Marquette University in Milwaukee. Now retired, he serves as a current School Board member for District 225. His past community involvement includes coaching youth hockey at the Glenview/Northbrook Ice Rink from 2008 to 2018.
● Beth Hope: A resident of Northbrook for 14 years, Hope holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an MSW from New York University. She is the Senior Director of Clinical Communications & Quality at Compass Health Center, where she has worked for over 8 years and is a licensed clinical social worker. Her community involvement includes serving as a member of the Maple School Parent Teacher Advisory Committee for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 school years and co-leads the Temple Jeremiah Social Justice Committee's Mental Health Subcommittee.
● Jack Downing: A resident of Glenview since June 2007, Downing holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. from Loras College. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Worldbridge Partners, where he has worked for 27 years. Downing's extensive community service includes serving as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago since 2000 and as Chairman from 2005 to 2010. Downing is also involved with Glenbrook South's IncubatorEDU program as a Community Champion and Board Advisor since 2017. Additionally, he has volunteered as an assistant coach for football and wrestling at Glenbrook South High School since 2019 and has been part of the Junior Titans Football Program Board since 2010, serving as President from 2015 to 2021.
The District 225 Caucus is a nonpartisan group of volunteers that represents residents of Northfield Township. The group included members from each of the 5 District 225 feeder elementary districts, with numbers in direct proportion to each district's relative size. The caucus process was advertised via the caucus website, posted in parent groups for all five elementary districts, to the parent groups of Glenbrook South and Glenbrook North, as well as to community members.
